The Association for the Promotion of University Sports at the University of Leipzig (Friends’ Association) organises sports and sports-related cultural events and activities in conjunction with and as a supplement to university sports courses. In addition, membership of the Friends' Association entitles students or employees of the university, together with their relatives, friends and acquaintances, etc. who are otherwise not eligible to participate in university sports courses, to join in the sporting activities on offer. Membership of the Friends' Association must be acquired prior to participation in the sporting and exercise activities.
Improved service for external course participants interested in our sports portfolio:
• External participants must also register ONLINE.
• Prior to booking a course, external participants must acquire membership of the Association for the Promotion of University Sports at the University of Leipzig (Friends' Association) online. Booking a course online is only possible for association members.
*Printed proof of registration for the Friends' Association and the course or meeting shall serve as proof of admission to the association and as the entitlement to participate in the respective course.
Membership fee:
€ 36 per semester (incl. subsequent semester break) plus respective course fee for guests
Reduced membership fee:
€ 24 (children, trainees, students of other universities, unemployed individuals, pensioners (proof required)) plus respective course fee for guests
Short-term membership in the semester break:
€ 15 (reduced fee € 12) plus respective course fee for guests
